Online Submission
Authors are required to submit their manuscripts through our dedicated online submission system to ensure an efficient and streamlined review process.
All authors must register or log in to their personal author account to upload the manuscript files and complete all necessary submission steps.
Please ensure that all required documents — including the manuscript, figures, tables, and supplementary materials — are correctly formatted and uploaded at the time of submission.
Incomplete submissions may result in processing delays.
Cover Letter
A cover letter must accompany every submission.
The letter should:
- Clearly articulate the significance, originality, and scientific contribution of the submitted work.
- Explain why the manuscript is particularly suitable for publication in Arzneimitteltherapie Journal.
- Highlight any novel methodologies, important findings, or unique perspectives presented.
The cover letter must be signed by the corresponding author and confirm that all co-authors have agreed to the submission.
Conflict of Interest
Authors must declare any potential conflicts of interest, including but not limited to:
- Financial relationships (e.g., funding, employment, consultancies, stock ownership)
- Personal relationships or academic competition
- Intellectual property interests
Declarations should be included in the cover letter or uploaded as a separate document during submission.
If no conflicts exist, authors should explicitly state: «The authors declare no conflict of interest.«
Ethical Considerations
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their research complies with recognized ethical standards.
Submissions involving:
- Human participants must state that informed consent was obtained and that the study was approved by an appropriate ethics committee.
- Animal studies must confirm adherence to institutional and international guidelines for animal welfare.
Relevant approval numbers, the name of the ethics committee, and compliance statements must be included in the Methods section of the manuscript.
Failure to provide appropriate ethical documentation will result in the rejection of the submission.
4. Review and Revision
Peer Review:
All manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer review process. Submissions are evaluated based on scientific quality, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
Revisions:
Authors must address all reviewer comments thoroughly and resubmit the revised manuscript by the specified deadline.
5. Reference Style
- All manuscripts must strictly adhere to the author-date citation format (e.g., Smith 2025) throughout the text.
- In-text citations should include the author’s surname followed by the year of publication, without the use of footnotes or endnotes.
- The complete list of references must be provided at the end of the manuscript and formatted in full compliance with the Arzneimitteltherapie Journal Reference Guide.
- Authors are responsible for ensuring that:
- Every reference cited in the text is included in the reference list — and vice versa.
- References are current, accurate, and drawn from credible, peer-reviewed sources.
- Journal names are cited in full, not abbreviated, unless specified otherwise in the journal guidelines.
- DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers) are included where available.
- Manuscripts that do not conform to the reference formatting requirements may be returned to the authors for revision prior to peer review.
- Strict adherence to the journal’s referencing style reflects the scholarly rigor of the work and is a mandatory criterion for acceptance.
6. Ethics and Permissions
Authors must ensure full compliance with international ethical standards governing research and scholarly publishing.
Specifically:
- Research involving human participants must include confirmation of informed consent and approval from an appropriate institutional review board (IRB) or ethics committee.
- Research involving animal subjects must confirm adherence to institutional and international guidelines for the humane treatment of animals.
- Studies utilizing clinical data must guarantee the anonymization of personal information to protect patient confidentiality.
In addition, authors are required to obtain written permissions for the use of any third-party material (e.g., figures, tables, or extensive text quotations) that is not the original work of the submitting authors.
Proper acknowledgment and citation of all reproduced material are mandatory.
Failure to comply with these ethical and copyright standards will result in immediate rejection of the manuscript or withdrawal of the published article.
