ABSTRACT:
Atherosclerosis is a multifactorial disease driven by genetic predisposition, epigenetic modifications, and chronic inflammation. While traditional risk factors (e.g., LDL-C, hypertension) guide current management, up to 20% of ASCVD events occur in «low-risk» individuals. This review explores integrative biomarker panels that capture genetic susceptibility (LPA variants), epigenetic dysregulation (F2RL3 methylation), and systemic inflammation (hsCRP, IL-6) to refine risk prediction and enable personalized interventions.
