ABSTRACT: Sports medicine has seen significant advancements in the last few decades, especially in the areas of biomechanics and rehabilitation. This paper aims to explore the major innovations in sports medicine, focusing on biomechanical research and rehabilitation techniques that have transformed both athletic performance and recovery processes. The integration of technology in biomechanics, the development of advanced rehabilitation protocols, and the increasing understanding of how injury mechanisms affect the body have led to more efficient injury prevention, faster recovery times, and better outcomes for athletes across all levels. This paper also highlights the role of biomechanical analysis in injury prevention, the evolution of rehabilitation methodologies, and the future directions of sports medicine. The growing influence of personalized medicine, stem cell therapies, and biomechanical feedback systems are setting new standards in the way athletic injuries are managed and treated. |
