ABSTRACT:
Pediatric cardiology has experienced significant advancements in recent decades, transforming the approach to diagnosing and treating congenital and acquired heart diseases in children. This article provides a comprehensive overview of the current landscape of pediatric cardiology, tracing the evolution of diagnostic methods, treatment modalities, and technological innovations that have shaped the field. By exploring the spectrum of pediatric cardiovascular diseases, from congenital heart defects to acquired conditions like arrhythmias, we highlight both the progress made in understanding these conditions and the emerging solutions that promise better outcomes for young patients. We also discuss the challenges that remain, including disparities in care access, ongoing clinical dilemmas, and the need for further research to improve long-term outcomes.
