ABSTRACT:

Regenerative medicine has emerged as a revolutionary field that holds the potential to treat and cure various medical conditions that were previously considered incurable. At the heart of this paradigm is stem cell therapy, which utilizes the regenerative capacity of stem cells to repair or replace damaged tissues and organs. Stem cells, due to their ability to differentiate into a wide variety of specialized cell types, offer hope for treating conditions such as heart disease, neurodegenerative disorders, musculoskeletal injuries, and more. This article explores the fundamental principles of stem cells, their different types, and their applications in regenerative medicine. Additionally, it examines the challenges surrounding stem cell therapies, including ethical concerns, safety risks, immunogenicity, and regulatory hurdles. The article concludes with a discussion of the future prospects of stem cell-based treatments and the potential of personalized stem cell therapies.
