The Hong Kong Medical Journal currently operates under an open-access model with an Article Processing Charge (APC) of 1500 USD per accepted article. The fee covers the costs of peer review management, editorial processing, professional typesetting, online hosting and archiving, and ensures that the published article is freely available to the global scientific community without access barriers.
